WHAT IS IN STORE FOR THE GIG ECONOMY IN 2021

As a gig economist I must be honest and say I use do do not know entirely what we are in store for, but what I do know is that it is here to stay and will not be going anywhere. A great reason I do not know entirely the direction of the gig economy in whence it is going is due to the presidential election. This election is a warring battle to the death that depending on whichever side it goes to. it will drastically shape not only America, but the entire world for a 100 years undoubtedly.

This political battle will determine the trajectory of us as small business owners and independent contractors. The entire scales of our type of work will be completely reshaped in a way that many are just not prepared to work in for the good and/or bad.

Unfortunately, if certain parties are allowed this term to enter the White House this will be a huge win for big tech corporate types which means less for the common everyday middle class and poor. Many of the gigs we work are forms of Silicon Valley big tech groups, like Uber, DoorDash; and then you have corporate giants like Walmart, GE, and various banks that have much to gain. This will come at a great cost and force most independent workers back into mainstream employee settings. Corporate slavery is the agenda, manufactured workers is what they want.

The entire landscape of the gig economy will be reshaped no doubt, but how it is reshaped will either lean further in favor of gig workers or big tech who is already strong arm robbing their partners. I suggest the following for the next six months:

  1. Double down on earnings!

  2. Stop all forms of stock market investing. It will crash, there’s a great reset in place which calls for it to crash.

  3. Store up on cash of all types. You will need access to cash.

  4. Cutback on outside spending outside of daily essentials.

  5. Accept that things the way they use to be for the most part will be no more, this is both good and bad, but we will have to remold how we view our American lives.

  6. Be prepared for the continued exploitation of Covid and mandates that come with it. You will have to decide how you will allow yourself to operate within it.

  7. Do not get comfortable with earnings! Seek outside means to combine with your gigs to be profitable DAILY! Remember, having multiple streams of income is simply not an option, it is a necessity.

  8. Do not bend to big government, big tech, big Pharma, big corporations! Create / develop some core values to live by fiscally to ensure your integrity and free will as much as possible.

This election has shown me so much about myself and us as Americans. It has really reshaped me in regards to taking a more personal responsibility of my actions, while holding others responsible for theirs too.
